Our Foundation Base

I’ve based my organization in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to support the Oncological Institute, which struggles to provide adequate cancer care due to limited resources. Relying heavily on external aid, the institute faces challenges such as outdated equipment, insufficient medications, and staff shortages. My goal is to raise awareness, mobilize resources, and advocate for better support to improve cancer care and ensure all patients, regardless of income, have access to essential treatments.

Hello, and welcome to my organization! My name is Keyla Urquiza , and I am the founder of Contra Cancer Bolivia. As a pre-law student with a deep passion for advocacy, justice, and helping others, I’ve always been driven by the desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing adversity.This organization was born from my desire to make a tangible impact by providing not only information and resources, but also a supportive community for those affected by cancer. Whether it’s offering guidance through legal challenges, providing emotional support, or simply raising awareness, we are here to stand by those in need. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and strength of those who face cancer—and I’m committed to doing everything I can to help lighten their load and create a world where everyone has the support they deserve. Creating change from across the world

My organization operates in both Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and New York, reflecting my personal connection to both places—Bolivia being my homeland and New York where I currently live. By bridging these two locations, I can leverage resources from the U.S. to support the Oncological Institute in Santa Cruz, Bolivia raising awareness and mobilizing international support for critical healthcare needs.
